BTS took home the Favorite Duo/Group trophy for the Pop/Rock genre for the second consecutive year.
BTS appeared at the 2020 American Music Awards (2020 AMAs) held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on November 23 KST.
This year, BTS has been nominated for two categories: “Favorite Duo or Group – Pop/Rock” and “Favorite Social Artist.” And today, BTS won “Favorite Duo or Group – Pop/Rock,” beating out Jonas Brothers and Maroon Five.
During their acceptance speech, BTS said, “We’re sorry that we can’t be there in person to receive this award, but still glad that we could connect through video. We won the title last year, too, so thank you for the continued support and love, especially even in this year so full of uncertainty and doubts. In the middle of all this, we want to remain as the group that brings comfort to the world through music.”
