BTS has won two awards at the 2020 American Music Awards (2020 AMAs) – Favorite Social Artist and Favorite Duo or Group – Pop/Rock. With this, this superstar group won the title for 3 and 2 consecutive years, respectively.

Just hours ago, it was announced that BTS won the Favorite Duo or Group – Pop/Rock award. And BTS also won the “Favorite Social Artist” award, beating out Billie Eilish and Ariana Grande, as well as K-pop groups EXO and NCT 127.

On this day, BTS performed their latest smash, “Life Goes On,” the title track of their new album BE. Delivering the message of comfort and warmth, BTS performed the song at Jamsil Main Stadium, where the last performance for their world tour was held, adding to the meaning. In particular, Suga, who has temporarily halted all activities due to his shoulder surgery, took the stage together, drawing keen attention.

This year, BTS has been nominated for two categories: “Favorite Duo or Group – Pop/Rock” and “Favorite Social Artist.” And today, BTS won “Favorite Duo or Group – Pop/Rock,” beating out Jonas Brothers and Maroon Five.

During their acceptance speech, BTS said, “We’re sorry that we can’t be there in person to receive this award, but still glad that we could connect through video. We won the title last year, too, so thank you for the continued support and love, especially even in this year so full of uncertainty and doubts. In the middle of all this, we want to remain as the group that brings comfort to the world through music.”
