Kim Nam Gil is in talks to star in OCN’s new fantasy drama Island (literal title).
Earlier, a media outlet reported that Kim Nam Gil will take the lead role in OCN’s new drama Island. In response, the actor’s agency CJ ENM said, “He did receive an offer and is positively reviewing it.”
Island is a fantasy exorcism drama that takes place on Jeju island, where monsters have been lying in wait to eliminate the human world for a long time.
If Kim Nam Gil confirms his appearance, he will be playing the role of monster-hunter Ban. Though his ability to adapt to reality is noticeably poor, his sexy charms overshadow the flaw. One day after another, all he does is slaying monsters. Always committing terrible killings, he doesn’t feel any emotion.
Earlier, Seo Ye Ji was reported to have been offered to play the female lead.
Based on the cartoon of the same name, Island will be penned by Scarlet Innocence and Luck Key writer Jang Yoon Mi and directed by Welcome To Dongmakgol and Fabricated City director Bae Jong. This upcoming OCN drama is scheduled to air in the second half of next year.
