Former Roo’ra member Go Young Wook has once again sparked public discussions, bringing up BIGBANG’s G-Dragon.

On Tuesday, Go took to social media to post a photo with the caption, “Are bandanas making a comeback these days?” The image, which featured Go sporting a bandana, also included a snapshot of G-Dragon, quickly catching the attention of fans and followers.

This post follows G-Dragon’s buzzworthy appearance at Incheon Airport on Monday, where he was headed to the Chanel 2024/25 Cruise Replica Show. His stylish bandana look made waves only, and Go, in a playful tone, commented, “I wonder if I, a bandana enthusiast, unknowingly inspired little Ji Yong when he was just seven. Looks like I was ahead of the curve!”

Go also shared another throwback on October 8, posing a photo with G-Dragon from his Little Roo’ra days. Reflecting on their post, Go wrote, “Seven-year-old Kwon Ji Yong stepped into my shoes, mimicked me, and even introduced me. That alone is a family legacy. Maybe this life hasn’t been a total wash after all.”

Go Young Wook, born in 1976, rose to fame in 1994 as a member of the co-ed group Roo’ra. However, his career was derailed in 2013 after he was convicted of sexually assaulting three minors. He was sentenced to 2.5 years in prison, with additional penalties including electronic monitoring and the public disclosure of his criminal record.

After his release in 2015, Go attempted to make a comeback through YouTube. However, his channel was quickly shut down due to his status as a convicted sex offender. Frustrated by the outcome, Go publicly expressed his discontent, saying, “I didn’t post any harmful content. Is it fair to apply non-existent rules to an individual solely based on their past? I’ve served my time. Why are some people allowed to move forward while others aren’t? Where’s the fairness in that?”

Go also aimed actor Lee Kyung Young, who was convicted in 2002 for soliciting minors. Lee received a suspended sentence for the crime, but Go pointed out a perceived double standard, saying, “A certain veteran actor with a similar rap sheet recently appeared on a drinking show, jovially discussing bomb shots. Seems like some folks get a pass,” he remarked, hinting at the discrepancy in how individuals with similar pasts are treated in the industry.
