Attention is focusing on whether Lee Bo Young and Go So Young will join hands in Baek Mi Kyung’s new project.
According to multiple entertainment officials, Lee Bo Young and Go So Young are currently in talks to star in Baek Mi Kyung’s new mystery drama MINE (working title), which is most likely to be programmed as a new tvN drama. The title has been changed from “Blue Diamond.”
MINE has already offered the lead role to Lee Bo Young and is waiting for her answer. Earlier this year, Lee Bo Young starred in When My Love Blooms and showed affectionate romance with Yoo Ji Tae. Go So Young is also said to be reviewing the offer positively. If she confirms her appearance, it will be her first comeback in four years since the 2017 drama Ms. Perfect, which was also her first return to the small screen in ten years.
This upcoming mystery drama deals with the true natures and painful love of those who belong to the premium upper-class society. It will shed light on the unhappy lives of the haves, who look glamorous ostensibly, and delivers the pathos of “ressentiment” (a sense of hostility directed toward an object that one identifies as the cause of one’s frustration) to those who have lost something, presenting a catharsis of desire.
It is a new work by Baek Mi Kyung, who wrote Strong Girl Bong-soon, The Lady in Dignity, The Miracle We Met, and Melting Me Softly. Fight For My Way and Love Alarm director Lee Na Jung will be directing the drama.
