Jung Hae In, Jisoo, Kim Hye Yoon, Jang Seung Jo, Yoon Se Ah, and Jung Yoo Jin confirmed their appearances on JTBC’s new drama Snowdrop.
The upcoming drama Snowdrop, set in Seoul in 1987, tells the love story of Im Soo Ho, a student at a prestigious university who suddenly rushes into a female dorm one day covered in blood, and Eun Young Cho, the cheerful and lovable student who hides him and takes care of his wounds even while facing danger under close surveillance. SKY Castle writer Yoo Hyung Min and director Cho Hyun Tak once again joined hands for the project, drawing keen attention.
Jung Hae In plays Im Soo Ho, a graduate student at a prestigious university with many stories. Grew up in Germany, he always has a gentle smile on his face, but gives off the vibe of always hiding something. One day, however, he storms into Young Cho’s dorm covered in blood.
Jisoo, who is challenging her first lead role, plays cute and lively Eun Young Cho. She is a freshman who is majoring in English. She falls in love with Soo Ho at first sight at a social gathering and winds up tending to his wounds in hiding.
The role of Lee Kang Moo, the relentless head of the National Intelligence Service (NIS) ‘s Team 1, went to Jang Seung Jo. Lee Kang Moo, who completed all his missions with discipline, never compromises and insists on doing everything by the book. Yoon Se Ah takes on the role of Pi Seung Hee, the notoriously strict and terrifying housemother of Jisoo’s dorm. With the absolute power over the dormitory and absolute thoroughness, she is the subject of fear among students.
Kim Hye Yoon will embark on another transformation as Kye Boon Ok, a phone operator at the dorm who had to forgo a college education due to her family’s financial circumstances. She gets caught up in the whirlwind of the incident when she goes to a social gathering as a substitute for a girl in room 207. Jung Yoo Jin will play Jang Han Na, an impulsive and hot-tempered NIS agent who is passionate about her job.
The production team said, “As actors with both luxurious acting skills and visuals are gathered in one place, we will visit viewers with a higher quality.”
Snowdrop is currently scheduled to air sometime in 2021.
