Right after the release of their new album, BLACKPINK expressed their feelings through a global press conference held on Oct. 2 at 2 p.m. KST.

Jisoo expressed her feelings about releasing THE ALBUM amid various achievements, saying, “I felt a lot of people waiting for us as it was our comeback after a long time. When we prepared for our first full-length album, we really wanted to show you a better side of us, so we dived into it with more passion and hoped to repay all your love.”

When asked about their new album, Jennie answered, “If you listen to all the tracks, you can see that we wanted to capture various emotions, not just love. We wanted to show you a bit more growth from being ‘improving girls.’”

Rose also mentioned the efforts they have put in, saying, “We wanted to show you all the music that BLACKPINK can do. We spent a long time in the studio thinking about how to express better.”
