“BLACKPINK in your area and on the cover of ELLE!”
On Sept. 18, ELLE unveiled the cover of the October issue featuring BLACKPINK. Along with the group’s charismatic aura, the headline “The biggest girl group in the world” catches the eyes.
Elle expressed expectations for BLACKPINK’s upcoming full-length album and Netflix’s original documentary, shedding light on various stories before becoming a global group. The magazine also noted that not only did the group collaborate with pop stars like Lady Gaga and Selena Gomez, but also emphasized that each of them became ambassadors of major French fashion houses, Chanel, Dior, Saint Laurent, and Celine.
This summer alone, BLACKPINK upped their global influence by releasing three new songs. Starting with the collaboration song “Sour Candy,” released in May, the group released “How You Like That” and “Ice Cream,” making back-to-back mega hits.
Now, BLACKPINK is getting ready for their first full-length album THE ALBUM and their documentary BLACKPINK: Light Up the Sky, drawing expectations from fans around the world.

“We all lived together since the beginning,” #Jennie says. “Just like how kids at school become friends, we just got along. It was very easy—we didn’t really have to try.” @BLACKPINK #BLACKPINKxELLE https://t.co/1r5SQHpJs1 pic.twitter.com/y3lLX0Gqwc
