BLACKPINK’s new song “Ice Cream” has debuted at #8 on the coveted Billboard Global 200 chart! On the Billboard Global Chart, which excludes US artists, the group ranked at #6.
Earlier, Billboard debuted two new charts: the Billboard Global 200 Chart and Billboard Global Excl. US Chart.
BLACKPINK’s “Ice Cream” sat high on the list at #8. This marks the first time a K-pop girl group broke into the chart.
This single, which was in collaboration with U.S. pop megastar Selena Gomez, has been making waves in the music industry. The song debuted at #13 on the main Billboard 100 Chart. Most recently, the music video surpassed 244 million views in near-record time!
“Ice Cream” also dominated the YouTube Global Music Video Chart, maintaining a #1 position for two consecutive weeks.
BLACKPINK broke another record earlier this month after the music video for their hit song “DDU-DU DDU-DU” surpassed 1.3 Billion views. This music video is still the most viewed music video by a K-pop group.
Immediately after achieving this, BLACKPINK’s music video for “How You Like That” crossed an astounding 500 million views. At just 73 days, this video is the fastest among all K-pop music videos to reach 500 million views.
On October 2nd, BLACKPINK will release their first full-length album ‘THE ALBUM.’ In addition, their Netflix documentary BLACKPINK: Light Up The Sky will be released on October 14th.
