It was Kim Hee Sun who started this comeback rush. She chose drama Alice as her comeback project two years after Room No. 9, and is drawing keen attention with her double role. In the first episode, she took on the role of Yoon Tae Yi, who traveled from 2050 to 1992, and adeptly portrayed a character who takes part in intense actions and shows heartfelt maternal love, receiving rave reviews for her successful acting transformation. Thanks to her passionate performances, Alice, which started with 6.1% viewership, rose up to 10.6%, continuing its uptrend.

Kim Hee Sun made her debut in 1993 with a commercial and swept the 90s with her bouncy charm shown through various works, such as Men of the Bath House, Tomato, and Mr. Q. Not only did she led her projects to a success, but she also reigned as “the icon of the times” by popularizing various fashion items worn in her works.

Kim Ha Neul will return to the small screen with JTBC drama 18 Again. The drama tells the story of a husband who returns to his prime days, which was 18 years ago, just before his divorce. Kim Ha Neul will play the role of Jung Da Jung, a working mom, who joins the workforce as an anchorwoman later on in life while raising 18-year-old twins, and will delicately express what happens when her husband (Yoon Sang Hyun, Lee Do Hyun) returns to the age of 18.

Kim Ha Neul made her debut as a model in the 90s and started her acting career with the 1998 film Bye June. Since then, she worked non-stop through her 20s, participating in numerous hit-projects like dramas Happy Together, Piano, Secret, Romance, and films Ditto, My Tutor Friend Lesson. Then in 2012, when she was in her 30s, she once again enjoyed her heyday with drama A Gentleman’s Dignity.

Kim Jung Eun will make her comeback to the small screen in three years with MBN drama My Dangerous Wife, which will premiere on Oct. 5. My Dangerous Wife is a psychological thriller that revolves around a couple’s atrocity, and is the remake version of a Japanese drama of the same name released in 2016. Shim Jae Kyeong (played by Kim Jung Eun) is a smart, kindhearted, and wealthy woman who enjoys her happy married life with her husband, but finds herself at the center of the incident after being embroiled in a mysterious kidnapping case.

Since her debut in 1995, Kim Jung Eun has shown various faces in a number of projects, including dramas Star in My Heart, Sunflower, Ladies of the Palace, and films Marrying the Mafia, Forever the Moment. However, since her most well-known project is considered 2004 drama Lovers in Paris, you could say that she has shown her strength in the romance genre. Therefore, her new transformation in a psychological thriller genre right after her challenge in taking her first-ever villain role in drama Duel draws keen attention.
