Amid news that a sequel to Confidential Assignment, which was released in 2017, will be produced, Hyun Bin and Yoo Hae Jin are said to be positively considering their appearances.
The movie Confidential Assignment (director Kim Sung Hoon) is about the unpredictable joint investigation of detectives from the two Koreas to catch a North Korean criminal organization hiding in the South. The movie attracted a total of 7.81 million moviegoers, making it a box office hit.
In the movie, Hyun Bin played North Korean detective Im Chul Ryung, while Yoo Hae Jin took on the role of South Korean detective Kang Jin Tae.
Meanwhile, Confidential Assignment 2 will be directed by Lee Seok Hoon, known for Dancing Queen, The Pirates, and The Himalayas.
After finishing its casting, Confidential Assignment 2 is scheduled to begin filming next year.
