Singer Im Seulong was involved in a car accident in rainy conditions that resulted in the death of a pedestrian.
According to the Seoul Seobu Police Station, Im Seulong was involved in a car accident while driving in rainy conditions on August 1st.
Im Seulong’s agency Jellyfish Entertainment released an official statement:
Hello, this is Jellyfish Entertainment.
This is our statement regarding Im Seulong’s car accident.
First, we pray that the deceased rest in peace, and offer our condolences to his family members.
On August 1st, Im Seulong was involved in a car accident while driving in rainy conditions. While he was driving, he collided with a pedestrian who was crossing the road. Although Im Seulong immediately took emergency medical measures after the accident, the pedestrian passed away while he was being taken to the hospital.
Im Seulong was questioned and investigated by the police according to the procedure and he is currently in a state of shock.
Please understand that we will not be able to reveal details regarding this incident because the police investigation reports are not entirely out yet.
However, we would like to sincerely apologize to the family members of the deceased as we understand how much pain they must feel right now.
Once again, we pray that the deceased rest in peace, and we offer our deep condolences to his family.

It is reported that Lim Seulong was not driving under the influence at the time of the incident.
