While Mina, a former member of AOA, has exposed that Jimin brought a guy into the group’s dorm, Red Velvet‘s strict accommodation rule is drawing the attention.

Back in January, Red Velvet’s Joy appeared on KBS2’s Happy Together 4 and talked about the “strict discipline” within her team.

She explained, “To respect each other’s privacy, we have set a rule that no one but us (members) should come to our dorm.”

“Family members should also get permission from the members before their visits,” she added. When Yoo Jae Suk asked, “If someone says no, they can’t visit the dorm?” Joy answered, “It’s not like that. I once invited my baby sister without telling, and later got a complaint from them (members).”

According to Joy, other members showed their discomfort in her breaking the rules, and she apologized. After hearing this, Yoo Jae Suk added, “If one person doesn’t follow the rule, the time when no one cares about it anymore comes.”

As Red Velvet’s rule drew attention, people responded by saying, “This is right. All idol groups should follow this rule,” or “Even though they might be a team, they all have their privacy. This is the minimum rule.”
