Park Bo Gum has been accepted into the naval band.

According to his label Blossom Entertainment, Park Bo Gum had applied for the naval band and had an interview on June 1, and the result was announced today. The actor has been accepted to join the naval band and will join the military on August 31.

Though he still can afford to delay his military service, Park Bo Gum is known to have voluntarily applied to fulfill his mandatory military service.

It was previously reported that he was heavily influenced by his father, a former navy soldier, in his decision to join the naval band. By working on two films and one drama before his enlistment, he plans to minimize the gap.

He has already finished working on the film Seobok (literal translation) with Gong Yoo, and is waiting for the release. Now, he is filming for movie Wonderland (literal translation), in which he works with Suzy and Choi Woo Shik, and drama The Moment, in which he stars with Park Do Dam.

Park Bo Gum, who will get enlisted on August 31, will be discharged in late April 2022 after completing a total of 20 months of mandatory military service.
