BLACKPINK has released a part of their new song “How you like that” and its music video for the first time.
YG Entertainment posted a teaser video for the music video for BLACKPINK’s ore-released title “How you like that” on its official blog at 9:00 a.m. on June 24 KST.
The 19-seconds video was short but intense. The silhouette of the BLACKPINK members in a dark space reminiscent of an ancient temple was shown while the water and fire swayed in the wind, and dark blue sand ran through their fingers.
Again, BLACKPINK members were seen in the dark, and on top of it, a huge wing sculpture caught the eye. This short teaser video raised questions about the symbols used in the video, their meanings, and the overall concept.
BLACKPINK’s flashy and charismatic styling is also overwhelming. At the end of the video, all four members poured out the highlight of the new song, raising the expectations to the fullest.
In particular, part of the melody of “How you like that” caught the listeners’ ears. The dreamy and grand orchestral sound overwhelmed the atmosphere at once, raising tension.
Meanwhile. “How you like that” will be released at 6:00 p.m. on June 26 KST. And at 5:00 p.m. on the same day, BLACKPINK will hold “Countdown Live” via V LIVE and share various stories.
BLACKPINK will also perform “How you like that” for the first time on NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on June 26.
