Hwasa will release her first solo mini-album in 6 years since her debut as MAMAMOO.
According to the singer’s agency, RBW, Hwasa will drop her solo album Maria on June 29. The album features six new songs that have been worked on for a long time.
Previously, Hwasa swept the music charts with her solo debut single twit last year. With the upcoming album, which will be released in a year and four months, she is determined to solidify her position as a female solo artist.
With the announcement, Hwasa also presented the album cover of Maira. With a snake around her neck, she shows off her powerful yet elegant femme fatale charms.
Hwasa is known as an “all-round vocalist” who can sing and rap flawlessly. She earlier rose to stardom after appearing on MBC’s I Live Alone, giving off a natural and friendly charm.
RBW said, “Hwasa, who has is both popular and a hot topic, will show a whole new side with her first mini-album.”
