BLACKPINK has launched a new solo reality show. “24/365 with BLACKPINK,” which predicted two-way communication by inducing fans to participate in choosing the name of the show, has been unveiled amid explosive reactions for BLINKS around the world.
YG Entertainment released the prologue of the BLACKPINK’s new reality content “24/365 with BLACKPINK” on its official blog and YouTube channel at 10:00 a.m. on June 13.
BLACKPINK gathered together on the same day to announce the production of the reality show to commemorate their comeback. They explained that the reality show will capture a variety of everyday lives of the members and things that they always wanted to do. They also expressed how they wish to communicate more closely with fans.
There was also a surprise spoiler about the comeback. Each member gave a hit about their new song, which will be released on the 26th. Rosé said, “It feels like a cat,” whereas Jennie said, “For me, it’s more like a king kong,” raising curiosity. Jisoo added, “If we’ve shown strong music so far, this is more hip-hop vibe that shows our swag.”
At the same time, a video showing BLACKPINK’s new looks and charms has been released, raising expectations for the upcoming episode. From the natural daily life of BLACKPINK to the honest story of the members’ friendship, it will capture the moments of each member off-stage. On top of that, the reality show heralded a variety of attractions of BLACKPINK as “artists” as they work hard preparing for the new album, including practicing choreography and instruments, and recording sessions.
In choosing the name of the show, fans actively participated, drawing attention. At the end of the prologue, some of the videos from the first episode were released, raising the expectations to the fullest.
