TWICE has been embroiled in a controversy over their shocking performance.
On June 10, the latest episode of MBC’s Show! Champion was broadcast. In this episode, IU, Baekhyun, MONSTA X, TXT, and TWICE were nominated for the first place, and eventually, TWICE won the trophy.
Jihyo said, “’Show! Champion,’ thank you for giving us our first No.1. Most of all, thank you ONCE for cheering us even when we can’t meet you in person.” Soon, TWICE had an encore stage.
Viewers who watched the encore performance were shocked. The video drew much attention in various online communities, drawing two opposite reactions.
