Actor Park Bo Gum applied for the Navy military band and is waiting for the interview results.
On June 2, Blossom Entertainment, the actor’s agency, announced that “Park Bo Gum applied for the Navy’s Cultural Promotional Team and had an interview on the 1st.”
An official from the agency said, “Since Park Bo Gum wanted to keep things quiet, only a few officials in the agency knew about it. The results haven’t come out yet, and the situation may change depending on the result.”
Park Bo Gum’s decision to join the Navy military band was reportedly influenced by his father, who also joined the navy.
The results of Park Bo Gum’s interview will be announced on June 25. Rumor has it that he is highly likely to pass the test if there is no specific reason for disqualification. If he gets in, Park Bo Gum will join the navy on August 31. After completing a total of 20 months of military service, including 6 weeks of basic training, he will get discharged in late April 2022.
He is currently filming tvN’s pre-production drama The Moment, and director Kim Tae Yong’s new film Wonderland (literal translation). He is also getting ready to meet the audience with SF action film Seobok (working title), which he starred in with Gong Yoo.
