‘It’s Okay to Not Be Okay’ Starring Kim Soo Hyun Released Photos and Footage of Its First Table Read

tvN’s upcoming drama It’s Okay to Not Be Okay shared photos and a video clip of its first table read.

Described as a “healing romance that resembles a storybook fantasy,” It’s Okay to Not Be Okay tells the story of a community health worker at a psychiatric ward who doesn’t have time for love and a storybook writer who has never understood love. The two will present a lovely healing romance as they begin to heal each other’s emotional scars.

On May 8, tvN released photos of stars Kim Soo Hyun, Seo Ye Ji, Oh Jung Se, Park Gyu Young, Kim Joo Heon, Kim Chang Wan, Kim Mi Kyung, Jang Young Nam, Lee Eol, Kang Ki Doong, Park Jin Joo, and Jang Gyuri attending the first table read.

Prior to the start, director Park Shin Woo said, “We will do our best to help the actors realize their roles and make them come alive freely and creatively. I hope it’s a drama that everyone makes together. ”

When the table read began in earnest, the passionate performances of the actors were followed. First of all, Kim Soo Hyun showed a profound understanding of his character Moon Kang Tae, a psychiatric ward. He calmly and gravely captured the emotions of a character who never expresses his solitude and loneliness.

Seo Ye Ji, who plays Go Moon Young, a famous storybook writer with an anti-social personality disorder, reportedly captivated everyone with her convincing transformation.

An official of It’s Okay to Not Be Okay said, “The table read was full of laughter and heart-fluttering romantic tension with great performances of the actors, who fully took on their eccentric characters. All the actors and staff are working hard on the filming, so please look forward to our drama.”

tvN’s new weekend drama It’s Okay to Not Be Okay is set to premiere on tvN in June 2020, as a follow-up of When My Love Blooms, and will be streamed worldwide on Netflix.
