SuperM successfully kicked off the “Beyond LIVE” on April 26, signaling a new future for the concert.
“SuperM – Beyond the Future,” which was streamed live on NAVER V LIVE from 3 p.m. on April 26 KST, was held for 120 minutes with SuperM’s unique performance, AR technology and interactive communication, drawing explosive responses from fans all over the world.
In addition to Korean, more than 75,000 paid viewers from 109 countries, including the US, Japan, Canada, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, Thailand, Vietnam, South Africa, Turkey, Hungary, Denmark, the United Arab Emirates, Brazil, Mexico, Peru, Indonesia, Costa Rica, viewed the concert.
Also, the concert introduced AR technology, known as Live Sync Camera Walking, which connects the real space with camera walking, and presented the stage with the backdrop of various spaces embodied in real-time 3D graphics, delivering artists’ performances more dynamically and realistically.
Especially, SuperM’s new song “Tiger Inside” was unveiled for the first time during the concert where an AR tiger appeared, catching the eye. Also, during the title song “Jopping,” which were performed last, a huge Colosseum and cheer stick waves were presented with AR, overwhelming the screen and drawing explosive shouts from fans.
In particular, the interactive communication based on technology featured in “Beyond LIVE” was impressive as it transmitted not only the performance but also the voices and cheers of viewers in real time.
As a result, SM Entertainment introduced the world’s first online-only concert that combines high-tech technologies and performances through “Beyond LIVE” by fulfilling the new culture technology (CT) it has been aiming for even in the concert field, leading the online concert content market.
Meanwhile, “Beyond LIVE” will be followed by WayV on May 3, NCT Dream on May 10 and NCT 127 on May 17.
