As actors Kim Rae Won and Lee Da Hee confirmed their roles on LUCA, the drama will staring filming in earnest.
tvN’s new drama LUCA, depicts the mysterious world based on “genetics.” The story revolves around a person who was born strong and left alone in the world. Based on Charles Darwin’s “The Origin of Species,” the drama opens a new horizon of a genre we have never seen before.
Also the fact that director Kim Hong Sun, who is known for his works such as Voice and The Guest, and writer Chun Sung Il, who presented solid writing with Chuno, Your Honor and The Pirates, joined hands for this new type of drama is already raising mush expectations.
In the drama, Kim Rae Won will play the role of Ji Oh, making his comeback to the small screen in two years. Ji Oh, who rarely shows his feelings, has the “secret” and “power” unlike the ordinary people, but doesn’t know who he is. He will find the answers of himself as he is fiercely chased by unidentified people.
Lee Da Hee will make a transformation into a girl-crush detective. She will play the role of “Goo Reum (Cloud),” detective in charge of violent crimes, who gets demoted after digging into the corruption of her boss. She is a person who persistently looks into her parents’ case, who went missing when she was a child. But her life meets a whole new chapter upon meeting Ji Oh with secret power.
LUCA is scheduled to air in the second half of the year.
