ITZY‘s new song “WANNABE,” released at 6 p.m. on March 9, topped four music charts including Naver Music, Genie Music, Bugs and Soribada as of 8 a.m. on March 10.
“WANNABE” is the title track of the new album IT’z ME, which contains the message of “one & only ME” that shows how ITZY decided to break out of the formality created by others. The teen-crush concept and addictive melodies are leading to a heated response.
From “DALLA DALLA” to “ICY” and most recent “WANNABE,” ITZY proved themselves with their three consecutive hits. Album sales are also on the rise. ITZY ranked second on both the Hanteo real-time charts and Gaon Retail real-time charts on the 9th, the day of release.
The music video for “WANNABE” surpassed 5 million views on YouTube within six hours and 57 minutes of its release. Also as of 8 a.m. this morning, they topped YouTube Music Video Trending Worldwide and Real-Time Trend Chart in 8 countries, including Korea, Argentina, Brazil, the United Arab Emirates, Chile, Philippines, Paraguay and Uruguay, proving the interest of global fans over ITZY’s comeback.
ITZY hosted “ITZY Live Premiere” on NAVER V LIVE at 8 p.m. on May 9 and unveiled the “WANNABE” performance for the first time.
