On February 26, tvN’s new series Memorist released two second teaser videos featuring the unexpected charms of Dong Baek, a detective with supernatural powers.
Based on a webtoon of the same name, Memorist is an investigative drama, in which state-certified detective Dong Baek (Yoo Seung Ho) with supernatural power and elite criminal profiler Han Sun Mi (Lee Se Young) track the mysterious “absolute evil” serial killer. Director Kim Hwi, who directed The Neighbors, director So Jae Hyun who directed 100 Days My Prince and Stranger, and director Oh Seung Yeol, who co-directed Chief of Staff, have come together for the drama.
In the previously released first teaser video, signals for the showdown between Dong Baek with super powers and Sun Mi with brains have drawn attention. The second teasers are full of extraordinary charms of Dong Baek, who ‘scans the memory’ and mercilessly punishes the criminals with his “fire-punch.”
The swinging voice in the background, “I’ve flexed my superpowers again,” makes the viewers look forward for the drama. In addition, the leader of the team Koo Kyung Tan (Ko Chang Seok) holding his neck by Dong Baek’s performance draws a laugh, raising the expectations for their bromance.
Memorist will premiere at 10:50 p.m. on March 11.
