EXO member Baekhyun has issued an apology following a recent indoor vaping incident.

On the night of September 16th, Baekhyun’s agency, INB100, released a statement addressing the situation: “We sincerely apologize to everyone who was upset due to our artist Baekhyun’s indoor vaping,” the statement read. “Baekhyun deeply regrets his careless behavior and is sincerely sorry for disappointing many fans.”

The controversy began when videos of Baekhyun vaping indoors surfaced on social media and online communities. In response, the agency explained, “At the time, neither Baekhyun nor our staff were aware that e-cigarettes were prohibited in Macau. During a meal with staff after the Macau performance, as the conversation flowed, Baekhyun unconsciously used the e-cigarette.”

Despite the explanation of not being aware of the rules regarding indoor vaping, the backlash grew as the video spread online. The agency reiterated Baekhyun’s remorse, stating, “Baekhyun is deeply sorry for disappointing many fans with his careless actions and sincerely bows his head in apology.”
