SBS has confirmed the casting of Kim Hye Yoon and Lomon for its upcoming drama, I’m Human From Today. The show is set to begin filming soon, with an anticipated premiere next year.
Set to air next year, I’m Human From Today is a romantic comedy that tells the story of a mischievous gumiho (a mythical nine-tailed fox) who refuses to become human and a star soccer player who loses a wish to her. The drama will explore their unconventional love-hate relationship in a very human way.
Directed by Kim Jung Kwon, known for his stylish direction in dramas like Maestra: Strings of Truth and Love to Hate You, the series is written by Park Chan Young and Cho Ah Young, the talented duo behind Best Chicken. The production is handled by Binge Works, a studio known for its imaginative and unique projects such as My Demon, Today’s Webtoon, and Mr. Queen.
The casting of Kim Hye Yoon and Lomon as the lead couple has already generated significant buzz, especially considering Kim Hye Yoon’s massive popularity following her mega breakout role in Lovely Runner. Kim Hye Yoon will take on the role of Eun Ho, a quirky gumiho with zero interest in becoming an ordinary human. Eun Ho is a millennial fox spirit who enjoys only the fun aspects of the human world, carefully avoiding any “good deeds” that might accidentally turn her human, while accumulating “small evils” to stay true to her fox nature. One day, an unexpected event shakes up her carefree, man-free life, leading to a series of complications.

Lomon will portray Kang Si Yeol, a world-class soccer player known for his ego but not for laziness. As a forward for a top international team, Kang Si Yeol has shattered records throughout his career, truly a star who shines brighter than his team. This man, who lives for his pride, has one fear—losing his muscles. His seemingly perfect life takes a dramatic turn when he meets Eun Ho, leaving him in a whirlwind of unforeseen changes.
Lomon expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “I am excited and happy to work with such great actors on this amazing project. Kang Si Yeol is a character with many layers, and I can’t wait to show a new side of myself. I will do my best to showcase a more mature performance, so please look forward to it.”
