Currently facing allegations of drunk driving, BTS member Suga is getting blurred out on television appearances due to his current status. Yesterday, in a preview of the 98th episode of the tvN STORY’s The Village Presidents PeopleSuga’s face was blurred out while featuring certain memorabilia in guest Park Sul Nyeo’s home.

When Kim Yong Gun asked about a collection of several men’s hanbok outfits in her home, Park Sul Nyeo responded that BTS had worn the hanboks as rookies. A photo of BTS flashed on the screen with Suga’s face blurred.

Park Sul Nyeo also shared the hanbok worn by Lim Young Woong during a Chuseok Festival television appearance, and viewers online were surprised to see Kim Ho Joong’s face also blurred while flashing a reference video of the top seven members of Mr. Trot.

Kim Soo Mi asked if anyone had contacted her to sell BTS’s hanboks, and Park Sul Nyeo explained that she had received many offers, with some offering to pay between 25 million won and 35 million won (approximately $18,600 to $26,000) per piece. “Considering how much effort both the members and their team put in for BTS to reach where they are, I felt that it was disrespectful to accept that kind of money,” she expressed.

Suga and Kim Ho Joong previously stirred controversy due to drunk driving incidents.

On August 6, Suga was found riding an electric scooter under the influence in the Yongsan area of Seoul. His blood alcohol concentration was recorded at 0.227%. In South Korea, electric scooters are classified as motorized bicycles under traffic laws, which means they are subject to the same penalties as operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Suga has admitted to the charges of drunk driving and was interviewed by the police on Friday.

In May, Kim Ho Joong was involved in a hit-and-run accident in Sinsa-dong, Seoul, after colliding with a taxi while changing lanes. He reported the incident to the police 17 hours later. Initially, Kim denied allegations of drunk driving but later admitted to drinking after evidence surfaced.

Kim Ho Joong, however, is not charged with drunk driving charges as the current law needs proof of a blood alcohol concentration above 0.03% at the time of driving.

He recently acknowledged all charges against him while under police investigation and requested bail to be tried without detention.
