Based on a webtoon of the same name, Daily Dose of Sunshine follows Da Eun, a nurse who starts working in a psychiatric ward for the first time, as she encounters various people there. Will Nam Joo Hyuk’s transformation into a dark hero help Vigilante become the next hit on Disney Plus, following the success of Moving? Based on a popular webtoon, the show revolves around Kim Ji Young, a police academy student, and the people surrounding him with different motives as he transforms into a vigilante at night to eliminate criminals. The drama garnered significant attention when it unveiled three out of the eight episodes at the Busan International Film Festival in October. It received praise not only for its entertainment value but also for sparking discussions on law and justice. All eyes are on whether the positive responses from the event will continue after its official release in November.
Goryeo–Khitan War (11/11)
A new historical saga set in the Goryeo era is ready to meet viewers this month. Goryeo-Khitan War, a specially-made drama in celebration of KBS’ 50th anniversary, follows Hyeonjong, Goryeo’s emperor, who led Goryeo to victory in the war against Khitan with his great leadership, and Kang Gamchan, his political teacher and the supreme commander of the Goryeo army. A significant amount of effort has been put into the show’s action scenes as the drama centers around the intense battles from Khitan’s second invasion to its final sixth invasion. Curiosity is rising about whether the upcoming drama will provide satisfying enjoyment to viewers, given KBS’s reputation for popular historical dramas.

Expectations are running high for this new series, given Jung Woo Sung’s comeback and the romantic autumn atmosphere it promises. However, it’s disappointing that the drama will only be available on Gennie TV, limiting access for viewers much like Evilive. The question remains whether the show will still deliver a meaningful viewing experience despite these challenges.
Once Upon a Boyhood (TBA)
Yim Si Wan and Lee Sung Bin are set to portray 1980s youths in a new drama. Taking place in 1989 in Chungcheongnam Province, Once Upon a Boyhood revolves around Byung Tae, a nerdy young man from Onyang whose life goal is to avoid being bullied, but one day, he unexpectedly becomes the top dog of his school. Yim Si Wan will play Byung Tae, showcasing his contrasting personalities, from timidity to boldness. Meanwhile, Lee Sung Bin will bring out her girl-crush vibes as Ji Young, known as the “Black Spider” of Buyeo. The 1980s backdrop in Chungcheong Province will bring back memories of the movie Hot Young Bloods, starring Park Bo Young and Lee Jong Suk. Viewers are eagerly anticipating whether this drama will make us nostalgic for the romantic bygone days.
The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract (TBA)
Lee Se Young, who rose to stardom with The Red Sleeve, is set to make a comeback with a romantic fictional historical drama. The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract portrays a 19th-century woman who transcends death and finds herself in 2023, where she enters into a contractual marriage with a third-generation chaebol. Will this new time-travel romance drama capture the hearts of viewers, much like Namgoong Min and Ahn Eun Jin’s touching love story? The weight on Lee Se Young’s shoulders is massive, as this marks her first lead role since her debut.
