Sandara Park proved her bond with her 2NE1 bandmates is stronger than any drama.
She took to social media on May 17th to celebrate the iconic K-pop group’s 17th anniversary, sharing a photo of the full four-member lineup—including CL, Minzy and Park Bom—with the caption, “Happy 17th Anniversary.”
What made the post special to fans was how graciously Sandara handled some recent controversy involving Park Bom. Back in March, Park Bom shocked netizens by posting a handwritten note online that claimed, “Park Sandara got caught doing drugs, so they made me look like a drug addict to cover it up.” Sandara quickly shut down the false rumors, stating, “I have never used drugs. I wish her well,” and subsequently unfollowed Park Bom.

However, Park Bom publicly walked back her comments a month later, showering Sandara with praise instead. She called her the “Princess of the Philippines” and confessed she had been a huge fan of Sandara even before they debuted, loving her bright personality and fresh vocals. Park Bom added that their voices created a beautiful synergy together, explaining that she wrote the open letter because she didn’t want any drama to ruin the “miracle” of the four of them coming together as a group. She pleaded with everyone to completely forget the drug rumors, and Sandara’s recent anniversary post shows that she has chosen forgiveness and sisterhood, keeping the 2NE1 legacy alive.
