K-netizens are reacting with disbelief after global YouTube superstar MrBeast unexpectedly responded to a flood of comments asking him to “save” NewJeans—specifically member Danielle.
Over the past week, NewJeans fans organized a mass comment campaign across MrBeast’s social media, leaving tens of thousands of messages tagged #mrbeastsavenewjeans. Many urged him to “save NewJeans,” with some going as far as asking him to “buy HYBE” or “bring Danielle back.”
The comments quickly overwhelmed MrBeast’s posts—then came the twist no one expected. MrBeast actually replied: “What do I need to do?”

The reply instantly went viral, spreading across Korean and global social media—and triggering a wave of backlash from Korean netizens. Reactions ranged from secondhand embarrassment to outright anger. Many questioned why fans were dragging a Western YouTuber into a complex K-pop legal dispute.
“This is so embarrassing,” one comment read.
“He probably meant it like, ‘What do you want me to do about it?’”
“He must be completely confused.”
“Why are they asking a YouTuber to buy HYBE?”
“This is honestly pathetic.”
Some also expressed concern that MrBeast’s acknowledgment would only encourage fans to escalate similar campaigns toward other wealthy or influential figures.
The situation stems from an ongoing legal dispute involving Danielle and ADOR. ADOR recently notified Danielle of the termination of her exclusive contract and confirmed it has filed a damages lawsuit seeking approximately 43.1 billion KRW (approx. 30 million USD). The label stated it had determined that continuing the artist relationship was no longer possible and added that it plans to pursue legal responsibility against individuals it says played a major role in the dispute, including Danielle’s family member and former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin.
