So Ji Sub, Choi Dae Hoon and Yoon Kyung Ho are set to headline the upcoming drama Manager Kim, bringing a mix of espionage, martial arts, and fatherly devotion to the screen.

So Ji Sub takes the title role of Manager Kim, a seemingly ordinary bank employee and single father raising his daughter, Min Ji. But beneath the surface, he is a legendary North-South undercover operative—a man dispatched on countless missions including 17 northern infiltrations, 5 southern double-agent operations, and even a failed assassination attempt on North Korea’s supreme commander. A ghost on South Korea’s radar and a top target on the North’s blacklist, Manager Kim lives as a ticking time bomb whose true identity must remain hidden.

Choi Dae Hoon plays Sung Han Soo, a former taekwondo gold medalist and father to Tae Hoon. Han Soo embodies calm discipline, though his specialty, a spinning kick, proves his overwhelming natural talent in martial arts. A retired covert agent, he now runs a taekwondo studio for neighborhood kids, concealing his past while showcasing feats of strength like bending coins with his bare hands.

Yoon Kyung Ho transforms into Park Jin Chul, father to Da In. A veteran of conflicts across the Middle East—from civil wars to Iraqi skirmishes—he is revered as a “god of the battlefield.” Yet the title he treasures most is simply “Da In’s dad.” Once a rocker who clung to long hair and refused promotions to protect his band identity, he now leads an elite team of war-hardened specialists while wearing his “doting dad” badge with pride.

Manager Kim follows the story of a father who has lived quietly for his daughter’s sake, until her sudden disappearance forces him to reveal the hidden past he has kept under wraps. The series promises a blend of midlife bromance, paternal devotion, and high-octane action while introducing new layers to characters first seen in the original webtoon.

The script is penned by writer Nam Dae Jung, with production by Fantagio.
