BTS’s Jungkook is officially back on Instagram.

On Tuesday, Jungkook launched a brand-new Instagram account, marking his return nearly two years after deleting his original one. As of 4:30 PM that day, the account had already crossed 1.2 million followers, and by 5 PM, it had jumped past 1.4 million. That’s a gain of 200,000 followers in just 30 minutes.

His new handle, @mnijungkook, was confirmed during a Weverse livestream where he told fans, “Yes, it’s mine. My name is Jungkook,” cheekily explaining the meaning behind the account name.

Back in February 2023, Jungkook deleted his previous Instagram account, which had over 50 million followers. He explained at the time via Weverse, “I deactivated it. It wasn’t hacked. I just didn’t use it anymore, so I deleted it. I don’t think I’ll be doing it again.”

Now, with a fresh Instagram comeback, fans are swarming to follow him—clearly thrilled to see him back online.

Meanwhile, BTS recently shared that all members have completed their military service, with the final members discharged this past June. In early July, the group confirmed they’re planning a full-group comeback in spring 2026, while continuing to focus on solo projects and prepping for their next album.
