Yoo Jae Seok is trading his polished hosting skills for something a little more chaotic in Netflix’s upcoming variety show Jae Seok’s B&B Rules.
The show follows “camp owner” Yoo Jae Seok alongside unpredictable staff members Lee Kwang Soo, Byeon Woo Seok and Ji Ye Eun as they run a high-energy group camp designed to help guests escape everyday life.
Instead of his usual smooth control, Yoo leans into a more laid-back, slightly clumsy role as he navigates the challenges of hosting a large-scale, live-in camp. The result: a mix of nonstop activities, off-the-cuff moments and plenty of laughs.
The show also marks a new take on the popular “B&B variety” format. While previous series focused on providing meals and lodging, Jae Seok’s B&B Rules ups the stakes with a packed two-night, three-day schedule where everyone lives, plays and bonds together around the clock.
The teaser hints at just how intense things get. From morning wake-up missions to three full meals a day, afternoon games, evening talent shows and even late-night “heart-to-heart” sessions, the camp runs on a tight, 24-hour program. Despite the staff’s initial enthusiasm, the demanding schedule quickly takes its toll — with even Yoo joking, “The boss doesn’t get a break either,” as he collapses from exhaustion.
The production team emphasized that the biggest difference from other guesthouse variety shows, explaining, “This time, a large group lives together for two nights and three days, experiencing a tightly packed, 24-hour program.”
They added, “It naturally brings back memories of retreats with things like campfires and talent shows, and guests who’ve always wanted to try variety show games get to experience familiar yet hard-to-access content like cushion quizzes and wake-up missions firsthand.”
At the center of it all is Yoo Jae Seok himself. “In the middle of this intense schedule, you’ll get to see a more human, slightly imperfect side of him, instead of his usual flawless MC image,” the team said.
Jae Seok’s B&B Rules premieres May 26th exclusively on Netflix.
