The dispute between THE BOYZ and their agency is intensifying.

Following reports that THE BOYZ sent a formal notice requesting termination of their exclusive contracts with One Hundred Label, the agency has issued a firm response rejecting the demand.

In a statement released yesterday, One Hundred Label said the contracts were signed under the condition that all 11 members would promote together as a team, adding that each member was paid a “substantial signing bonus” at the time of the agreement.

“However, due to various controversies involving members last year, that premise was broken,” the agency said, noting that one member ultimately left the group, making normal group activities difficult.

Despite this, the label said it continued to support the group. “We persuaded related partners and even absorbed significant financial losses in order to maintain the group’s activities,” the statement read. “We cannot accept the members’ request to terminate their exclusive contracts while disregarding these efforts.”

The agency also pushed back on parts of a recent report, stating that some claims were “not true.” It added that support such as vehicles, managers, and practice facilities had been maintained as before, but alleged that the members themselves declined the support.

In addition, the company denied allegations involving CEO Cha Ga Won, calling claims that she used the group’s housing deposit “completely groundless and malicious.”
