Noh Sang Hyun and Gong Seung Yeon are stepping into the spotlight with a poised, high-impact transformation in MBC’s upcoming drama Perfect Crown.
Set to premiere in April 2026, the Friday–Saturday series casts Noh Sang Hyun as Prime Minister Min Jeong U and Gong Seung Yeon as Queen Dowager Yoon Yi Rang.
Min Jeong U is the eldest son of a prestigious political family, following both his father and grandfather into the role of prime minister. With his elite background, good looks, sharp intellect, and gentle demeanor, he is widely viewed as Korea’s most eligible man.
Polished and unreadable in public, Min lets his guard down only around Prince Yian, played by Byeon Woo Seok, a longtime friend he has trusted since childhood. That balance begins to crack when Prince Yian announces his marriage to Seong Hui Ju, portrayed by IU.
If Min Jeong U anchors the political world, Yoon Yi Rang stands at the center of the royal one. Born into a powerful family that produced four queens, Yoon Yi Rang was raised to suppress her emotions and live gracefully, accepting her destiny as the highest woman in the land. She embodied the ideal queen—until her young son unexpectedly ascends the throne, and she becomes queen dowager.
From that moment, Yoon Yi Rang’s life begins to veer off its carefully planned path. The rising popularity of Prince Yian, who commands overwhelming public support, only deepens her growing sense of unease. As threats close in, the question becomes whether she can protect both her son’s crown and her own place in history.
