Netflix has officially confirmed a third season of its global hit cooking competition, Culinary Class Wars.

Netflix posted participant recruitment on social media on January 16th. This upcoming season comes with a significant format change.

Team Battles: Restaurant Wars

Unlike the first two seasons, Season 3 will be a team-based competition between restaurants. Applications are open to teams of four chefs representing their specific establishments, regardless of cuisine.

This new format raises the stakes, as chefs currently working together will now compete to defend the honor of their restaurants. Furthermore, “super teams” formed by acquaintances from different workplaces or random groupings are ineligible. Teams must be composed of colleagues from the same establishment, although chefs from different branches of the same restaurant brand are permitted to join forces.

The creative team behind the show’s success is back. Producer Kim Eun Ji and Writer Mo Eun Seol from Studio Slam, who led Seasons 1 and 2, will once again helm the production.

“We are truly thankful that we can produce Season 3, all thanks to the immense love and support from viewers worldwide,” Producer Kim stated. “For Season 3, we will exert our utmost efforts to create a show that meets expectations with newly developed structures and enhanced entertainment.”

Culinary Class Wars Seasons 1 and 2 are currently streaming on Netflix.
