Former NewJeans member Danielle is set to speak directly to fans for the first time since her departure from the group.
Danielle posted her first update on a newly created social media account on January 12th. The photo has a simple message: “for those who waited 12 Jan 7 pm.”

Speculation about the account began circulating on online communities the day before. Fans noticed the account’s only mutual follower was Danielle’s older sister, singer Olivia Marsh. The subsequent live announcement confirmed it belongs to the former idol.
This marks Danielle’s first communication since being expelled from NewJeans. Her legal representatives, Law Firm Hwawoo, confirmed she would hold a live session on her personal channel later that evening.
“Danielle plans to express gratitude to her fans, share updates and engage in communication through this session,” her lawyers stated. However, they added, “We inform you that this live broadcast is for pure communication with fans and is unrelated to the ongoing lawsuit.”
The livestream comes amid a legal battle. On December 29th, ADOR announced the termination of Danielle’s exclusive contract following extensive discussions. While member Hanni chose to stay and talks with Minji continued, the agency dropped Danielle.
ADOR has since filed a lawsuit against Danielle and others, seeking approximately 43.1 billion won ($31 million USD) in damages. Danielle’s team has responded by appointing legal counsel to fight the claim.
