Q. How does it feel to work together for the first time? Were any cast members different from what you expected? Can you share any funny or interesting behind-the-scenes moments?

Hyun Bin: When I was younger, I used to watch Jung Woo Sung’s films and drama series. It was the bar I held myself to and inspired to be as an actor. To be able to share the scenes with Jung Woo Sung, it feels surreal, it feels like I’m dreaming, and it is truly an honor and a very special experience for me. Being able to work alongside him helped me learn new ways and new approaches to certain things I am portraying. I am able to further develop my portrayal of my character as well. That is how amazing the working environment is for Made In Korea.

Jung Woo Sung: For me as well, I am so happy to be able to work with Hyun Bin. I feel content, and as a personal sentiment, I feel proud of Hyun Bin. Regardless of experience, for actors, when you’re on set, you are all colleagues, and as a colleague, being able to see the way Hyun Bin approaches his art, his work and his attitude on set fills me with a lot of joy and pride.

Q. What were some challenges you faced in your role for this drama?

Hyun Bin: I would say there weren’t any particularly difficult challenges for this genre, because it is a political drama.

Jung Woo Sung: I wouldn’t say Made In Korea is so focused on political ideologies, but rather portraying these major events that are being the backdrop of these characters greed, ambitions and inner conflict. I wasn’t particularly challenged by the aspect of this role.

Q. Is there any genre you prefer to film after all these years of acting?

Hyun Bin: As an actor, it isn’t about preference for a particular drama. It is really about curiosity for what I haven’t done before and the ambition to do something that is a challenge.

Jung Woo Sung: I think that as an actor, when you are focused on a particular genre and try to do something different, it ends up being very refreshing for us. For me, I don’t have a particular preference for a drama genre.

Q. Can we expect a season two?
