The ground-breaking boy group Big Ocean has continued to find fame since their debut back in 2024. With hits like “SLOW,” “GLOW” and “FADE OUT,” the hard-of-hearing three-member boy group continues to inspire and engage fans with their unique sound.

Now, with eager hearts and more musicality, PJ, Chanyeon, and Jiseok come to greet fans with a brand-new Christmas exclusive track– “RED-DY SET GO.” The song is filled with positive energy as the catchy hook accompanied by an even catchier electric guitar riff elevates the boys’ masculine voices. A casual holiday pop-rock song worth dancing the night away with. ZAPZEE had the opportunity to get to know more about the promotions, their trip to Paris, and the new concert HEARTSIGN. See Big Ocean up close and personal with ZAPZEE’s exclusive interview and video message.

Q. Tell everyone about the new song “RED-DY SET GO.” What is the meaning behind the track and the title?

Chanyeon: We’re so excited to share “RED-DY SET GO” with everyone — it’s our first holiday single, and it feels like a warm gift for the season. The track draws from Rudolph’s story, where his red nose, once seen as a flaw, becomes the light that guides others. For us, it’s about embracing what makes you different and turning it into your strength. The title plays on “ready, set, go” with a fun twist on “red,” symbolizing that countdown to courage and self-acceptance. We hope it brings joy and a gentle reminder to glow through any winter challenges.

Q. Can you tell us some behind-the-scenes stories about the impressive promotions and how the members took photos of each other in the water?

PJ: Thank you so much for loving them! About the Underwater album — we had so much fun shooting them! Behind the scenes, the water setup was a bit cold at first, but it quickly turned into laughter. Chanyeon kept splashing everyone to “help us relax,” and Jiseok was trying to pose seriously but ended up slipping and making us all crack up.  And our very latest ones for “RED-DY SET GO” are completely different — pure Christmas magic! The set was full of twinkling fairy lights, red ornaments, snow, and cozy blankets everywhere. Jiseok kept picking up the guitar and strumming random Christmas tunes, I (Hyunjin) was sitting at the piano pretending to play “Jingle Bells” dramatically, and Chanyeon was running around with reindeer antlers and jingle bells, shaking them at everyone. We couldn’t stop laughing while playing with all the decorations. The whole studio felt like a warm living room in December. Those photos really capture the holiday glow we wanted to share with everyone.

Q. You are preparing a new tour, HEARTSIGN, after visiting Paris! How did it feel to visit the city and what did you love most about it and touring?

Jiseok: Visiting Paris earlier this year was truly unforgettable — the city had a warm, elegant energy that welcomed us right away. HEARTSIGN is a tour we’re preparing for now and that trip inspired us a lot. My favorite part was seeing the lights along the Seine at night; they reminded me of the hopeful “glow” message we cherish. The fans’ kindness during rehearsals touched us deeply, and performing at the Bataclan, a place of resilience, felt especially meaningful. We’re grateful for the memory and we are excited to return with HEARTSIGN.

Q. Christmas is coming soon, and fans can enjoy your lovely Christmas comeback. Which Christmas song do Big Ocean enjoy listening to?

Chanyeon: My favorite is “All I Want for Christmas Is You” by Mariah Carey — it’s upbeat and always puts me in a happy mood, reminding me of simple joys.

PJ: I love “Jingle Bell Rock” — it’s fun and nostalgic, and I enjoy how it makes everyone want to dance along.

Jiseok: “Last Christmas” by Wham! is mine; the melody is catchy, and it has that bittersweet feeling that fits the holidays perfectly.

Q. Member Kim Jiseok filmed a sexy reel, the Sabrina Carpenter “Wet” challenge, and it was quite popular. How was it filming that reel? What did you think of fan reactions?

Jiseok: Filming the reel and challenge was actually really fun for me. It started as something light-hearted, and I didn’t expect it to get that much attention. I just wanted to show a different, more playful side of myself. When the reel went up, the reactions were… a lot livelier than I imagined. But reading the comments, I felt grateful that fans enjoyed it in a positive way. Their excitement always gives me energy, and it makes me happy to know they could have a good laugh or smile because of something I did.

Q. What new music or goals do you have planned for 2026?

PJ: For 2026, we want to grow our music with tracks that carry more emotion and a clearer “free soul pop” identity — maybe bringing in fuller live sounds or collaborating with artists whose rhythms can expand our universe. We’re also exploring themes of connection and courage, the kind that echo from one person to another. Our goals include more tours to meet PADO (fandom) worldwide, sharing our stories through performances, and continuing to inspire inclusivity. We’re taking it step by step, but we’re excited and thankful for the journey ahead.

Q. What was your most successful moment of 2025?

Chanyeon: Our most meaningful moment of 2025 was definitely appearing in Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia, it felt like a reminder that the path we’re walking has purpose. But this year held so many milestones that it’s hard to choose just one. Touring Europe for the first time, watching PADO show up in cities we had only dreamed of, and seeing them sign our music back to us. If I had to pick the moment that stayed with me the longest, it would be the night in Paris when the crowd lit up the venue and moved in complete harmony during “Glow.” There was this overwhelming feeling that our message had reached hearts far beyond our own. It’s something I’ll carry with me for a long time.

The three members of Big Ocean didn’t hesitate to show their love for fans and answer our questions earnestly. Before signing off, the boys had a final message for their fans, PADO, thanking them for all they have done and more they wish to accomplish.

Big Ocean: To our dear PADO and ZAPZEE readers, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your endless support. You make every step worthwhile, and we hope “RED-DY SET GO” brings warmth to your holidays. Let’s keep glowing together — we love you!
