Seo Hyun Jin is making her comeback in JTBC’s new Friday series Love Me.
The drama follows a family—ordinary, flawed, and sometimes selfish in painfully relatable ways—as each member begins their own journey toward love and growth. Seo Hyun Jin stars as obstetrician-gynecologist Seo Jun Kyung, a woman who appears to have everything but has long ignored the deep loneliness embedded in her seemingly enviable life.
Jun Kyung spends her days ushering in new life and witnessing families’ joy, yet insists she’s fine living alone. Ever since a sudden, devastating incident shook her family seven years earlier, she’s been unable to be honest with anyone. Though she looks composed and capable, she’s slowly withering beneath the weight of a loneliness she can’t resolve—a chill around her that feels almost like winter itself.

If the teaser poster hinted at warmth and fluttering emotion, the newly released stills capture a contrasting stillness like cold winter air. Jun Kyung’s expression is nearly blank, yet filled with isolation and emptiness. And then, a shift: a soft smile and a tender gaze toward someone, signaling the timid spark of affection returning to her life.
The project draws particular attention as Seo Hyun Jin’s long-awaited return to the romance genre. Producers shared, “Jun Kyung appears strong on the outside, but inside, time has simply stopped. Seo Hyun Jin captures every tiny tremor in her expression and breath. The moments when her heart begins to move again are delivered with a delicate calm through her performance.” They added, “We hope viewers will feel the warmth that slowly seeps in through winter’s coldness.”

Love Me is based on the Swedish original series created by Josephine Bornebusch and has already been remade in Australia under the same title. JTBC will air Episodes 1 and 2 back-to-back on December 19th at 8:50 PM KST.
