Choo Young Woo has landed his next big role.
Star News exclusively reported on November 4th that the actor has been cast as the male lead in a new ENA drama titled Dating Expert (literal translation), helmed by Something in the Rain director Ahn Pan Seok.
It was previously reported that Kim So Hyun will star as the female lead, Lim Yu Jin. Her character is a fashion design student whose life takes an unexpected turn after meeting Min Jae. She becomes fascinated with his work in robotics and enrolls in the mechanical engineering master’s program.
Choo Young Woo will play Park Min Jae, a former swimmer who lost his leg to illness. He finds a new path in robotics, finally gaining admission to Seoul National University’s top engineering program on his fourth try. He seems simple on the outside and even has “dating” on his bucket list, but he’s actually hiding a deep-seated fear of emotional pain from his past.
In addition to this new drama, Choo Young Woo is also awaiting the release of his upcoming film, a Korean remake of popular Japanese movie Even If This Love Disappears From the World Tonight.
