TVING has unveiled new stills from Dear X, featuring Kim Ji Hoon in a special cameo appearance.
The series follows Baek Ah Jin (played by Kim Yoo Jung), a woman who hides behind a façade to claw her way out of a hellish life and reach the top. It also tells the stories of those she ruthlessly casts aside along the way.
Kim Ji Hoon plays Choi Jung Ho, a former pro baseball player turned café owner who exudes his signature gentle charisma. Choi Jung Ho is a principled and kind-hearted man, the first “true adult” figure Baek Ah Jin has ever met. The two first cross paths when Ah Jin, fresh out of high school, begins working part-time at his café. Even in a single still, his warm, concerned gaze toward Ah Jin captures his quietly supportive nature.
“It was a brief but very enjoyable shoot,” Kim Ji Hoon shared. “I had many discussions with director Lee Eung Bok on set to create a realistic and grounded character.”
He continued, “I appear early in the story, and I hope my role helps draw viewers in from the start. I’m especially looking forward to seeing the powerful impact Kim Yoo Jung’s portrayal of Baek Ah Jin will have.”
Episodes 1 to 4 of Dear X will premiere exclusively on TVING on November 6 at 6 PM
