Kang Tae Oh and Kim Se Jeong are set to charm viewers in the upcoming MBC historical fantasy romance Moon River.
The series tells the story of a crown prince and a merchant whose souls are accidentally switched, leading to a whirlwind of confusion, laughter, and unexpected romance. Moon River follows the sharp, prideful prince Lee Gang (Kang Tae Oh) and the cheerful, quick-witted merchant Park Dal Yi (Kim Se Jeong) as they struggle—and fall for each other—while living in each other’s bodies.
Kang Tae Oh shared how much he appreciated his co-star, saying, “Whenever I filmed with Kim Se Jeong, the energy on set instantly lifted. She’s full of passion and positivity, and that really rubbed off on me. I’m grateful for that.” He added, “This project relies heavily on chemistry and emotional exchange between the leads, and thanks to her, I was able to bring both Lee Gang and Dal Yi’s characters to life.”
Kim Se Jeong, in turn, expressed heartfelt admiration for Kang Tae Oh’s performance. “The way he portrayed Dal Yi was so lovable,” she said. “And when he cried during emotional scenes, it felt like I was the one acting. I thanked him several times for bringing that depth to our scenes.”

She also revealed that the role-swap dynamic was so immersive that the two sometimes found it easier to act as each other’s characters. “Depending on the schedule, we had to switch back to our original roles, and it took some effort to find the right tone again,” she explained.
From laughter to longing, Moon River promises a dynamic blend of humor, romance, and chemistry between the two leads.
MBC’s Moon River premieres November 7th at 9:50 PM KST.
