Song Joong Ki had a heartwarming reunion with Kim Ji Won, his longtime co-star and friend, during his fan meeting on October 25th—and fans couldn’t get enough.
Titled “2025 SONG JOONG KI FANMEETING – Stay Happy,” the event was held at Ewha Womans University’s main auditorium in Seoul on Saturday. It marked Song’s first fan meeting in about seven years since 2018, a long-awaited moment for fans who have followed his career.
To make the occasion even more special, Kim Ji Won appeared as a surprise guest. The two previously starred together in the hit KBS drama Descendants of the Sun and later reunited in tvN’s Arthdal Chronicles. Song also made a cameo in Kim’s recent smash series Queen of Tears, keeping their on-screen connection alive. Since Kim joined HighZium Studio in 2022—the same agency representing Song—the two have become labelmates as well.
Kim’s appearance was completely unannounced. Dressed casually in a beige knit top and light denim jeans, she greeted the audience with a smile. Song, visibly startled, exclaimed, “I was wondering who was talking. Why are you here?” to which Kim playfully replied, “I’ve been watching you from the back since you got emotional singing earlier.”
Flustered, Song accidentally introduced her as “Park Ji Won,” prompting laughter from the crowd.
“I just wanted to make things a bit more fun,” Kim said with a smile, reminiscing with the actor about their days on Arthdal Chronicles as Eun Seom and Tanya.
