Lee Yi Kyung is reeling amid a storm of accusations and social media backlash.

According to a non-celebrity woman identified only as “A,” the actor sent obscene messages filled with sexual banter and body-photo requests. Lee’s agency has denied the claims outright, but his Instagram is now flooded with both harsh criticism and staunch fan support.

On October 21st, Lee’s Instagram account was hit with a wave of comments such as: “Is this really true? If so I’m really disappointed”, “A celebrity’s image is everything,” and simply: “Gross.”

At the same time, many fans came to his defense with posts like: “It’s not even confirmed yet—why all the hate?” “I’m staying neutral,” and “I support the actor.”

According to A’s blog post, she says she and Lee exchanged KakaoTalk messages and Instagram DMs. She alleges that Lee requested nude photos from her, used profanity and engaged in sexual harassment and crude banter.

In response, Lee’s agency, Sangyoung ENT, told Starnews that “the posts circulating online about Lee’s private life are complete fabrications.” They went on to say the poster had already sent a similar stitched-together email to the company months ago, demanding money, admitted the allegations were false, and later sent an apology.

The agency also warned that indiscriminate posting and distribution can be subject to legal action, assuring fans that they are monitoring and protecting their artist.

Despite the agency’s statement, the accuser returned to her blog and claimed: “Suddenly, I’m being accused of blackmailing him. This is the first I’m hearing of it,” adding, “Yes, I asked once ‘could you give me money?’ because I was in a tight spot, but I never received anything and I didn’t ask again.” She then stressed, “The post yesterday wasn’t about getting money. I did it so other women wouldn’t go through this.”

Addressing her awkward phrasing, she explained, “I’ve been learning Korean myself for eight years. I’m not a scammer—I’m from Germany.” She also asked that her private life not be dragged into this, saying she never expected it to blow up this much.

The blogger also claimed that her chat was exchanged with what she says is Lee’s official Instagram account—including a clip of selecting the “message” button on his page to initiate their exchange.

UPDATE

The post containing the video has since been deleted following a request from another user.

Meanwhile, “A” has indicated that more revelations are coming, saying, “I am currently gathering evidence.”

The person who originally posted about Lee Yi Kyung took to X (formerly Twitter) on October 21st to add, “There was so much that I couldn’t include in the screenshots with Lee Yi Kyung.”

She explained, “I don’t want to say I don’t have proof, but I am trying to gather verification. An article claimed that I already told the company it was a lie. That part is true—I did say that before. That’s because Lee Yi Kyung allegedly threatened to report me to the authorities if I didn’t comply,” she stated, alleging she was pressured by the actor.

She emphasized, “I want to say this once again: this has absolutely nothing to do with money. I am in the process of collecting evidence, so please wait a little longer.”
