The court has ruled that former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin did indeed commit workplace harassment against an employee.

The Seoul Western District Court upheld the fine imposed by the Seoul Employment and Labor Administration on October 16th. This ruling followed Min’s administrative lawsuit challenging the fine she received in March.

The case dates back to last year when a former ADOR employee filed a complaint, citing emotional distress caused by Min’s verbal abuse and other actions. The Seoul Employment and Labor Administration determined that Min’s comments could cause both physical and psychological harm, worsening the work environment. They concluded this constituted workplace harassment under South Korea’s Labor Standards Act and imposed a fine.

Min’s legal team filed an appeal, arguing that there was a misunderstanding of the legal principles behind the Labor Standards Act.

In addition to this case, Min is also involved in legal battles with Source Music, the agency behind girl group LE SSERAFIM and BELIFT LAB, the agency of ILLIT. Source Music has filed a 500 million won lawsuit against Min for damages, while BELIFT LAB has filed a larger 2 billion won lawsuit. Both lawsuits stem from comments Min made at a press conference last April, in which she claimed that “HYBE broke its promise to debut NewJeans first and instead debuted LE SSERAFIM,” and that “ILLIT copied NewJeans’ concept.”
