Kim Jong Kook has personally addressed the controversy surrounding his now-unavailable honeymoon vlog, six days after fans noticed the video’s sudden removal.
Yesterday, the singer wrote in the description of his latest YouTube upload, speaking for the first time about why the previously public video featuring his honeymoon was taken down.
“Articles started popping up claiming I took the video down to hide an unrecognizable black silhouette that was supposedly my wife. Watching that completely illogical story spread as if it were true was just absurd,” he wrote.
He continued, “In life, sometimes things get twisted in ways you find unfair. Even with my wedding, there have been so many distorted rumors—it’s upsetting and unfortunate. But since I gave room for speculation, I’ll take responsibility where it’s due. I’ll just keep doing what I’ve always done: focus on my work and live earnestly.”
Kim concluded by denying the speculation outright: “You’ve known me for a long time. I’m not the kind of crazy guy.”
With his statement, Kim Jong Kook put to rest the viral rumors that the deletion was connected to his wife’s appearance in the vlog, emphasizing that the reports were entirely unfounded.
