Jung Il Woo has sparked intense dating rumors after he posted and then almost immediately deleted a set of photos on Instagram that seemed to show him on a date with a non-celebrity woman.
The saga began on October 9th when the actor uploaded two photos with the simple caption, “Good day.” One picture was of himself at a restaurant, while the other was of a woman at the same table, seemingly taking his picture.
Online detectives quickly went to work. Fans pointed out that the two were using matching phone cases, a popular trend for couples in Korea. They also identified the woman in the post as the CEO of a brand for which Jung Il Woo is a model.
As speculation exploded online, Jung quickly deleted the post. However, his swift removal of the photos, combined with his agency’s vague response, only fueled the fire. When asked to comment, the agency stated, “It is difficult to confirm as it pertains to the actor’s private life. We ask for your understanding,” a classic non-denial that many fans interpret as a soft confirmation.
Meanwhile, Jung Il Woo is currently starring in the KBS weekend drama Our Golden Days.
