Kang Daniel was forced to cancel his New Jersey concert at the last minute on September 7th, leaving fans who had already gathered at the venue shocked and disappointed. His agency, ARA, cited “inadequate local system preparations” and safety concerns for the sudden cancellation.

In an official statement, the agency apologized for the sudden news. “Both the artist and our team did everything possible to put on the show, but we determined it would be difficult to provide a safe and high-quality stage due to unforeseen operational issues,” they explained. The agency added that the decision was “unavoidable,” as proceeding with a show in an incomplete environment would be a disservice to fans. All tickets will be automatically refunded.

According to fans at the venue, Kang Daniel personally came out on stage to apologize to the audience for the situation.

Social media was flooded with reactions from stunned fans. Many voiced frustration over non-refundable flight and accommodation costs, while others expressed support for the decision. “Tickets are refunded, but what about flights and hotels?” one fan wrote. Another commented, “If there was a risk of a safety accident, then canceling was the wiser choice.”

The cancellation comes in the middle of Kang Daniel’s large-scale tour across 12 U.S. cities, including Washington and New York. With South American dates also planned, the incident has raised concerns about whether the rest of the tour will proceed without further disruptions.
