Park Min Young and Jung Woong In are set to ignite chaos in the skies in the premiere of Confidence Queen.
The new TV Chosun weekend miniseries follows three con artists who set their sights on taking down the villains of modern society in a slick caper comedy.
Directed by Nam Ki Hoon of Big Bet, Kiss Sixth Sense and Voice 3 and written by Hong Seung Hyun of Criminal Minds and Cheo-Yong 1, 2 alongside Kim Da Hye, the drama promises to usher in a new era of K-caper series. The ensemble is led by Park Min Young, Park Hee Soon, and Joo Jong Hyuk, making it one of fall 2025’s most anticipated dramas.
In a key scene, Park Min Young and Jung Woong In escalate the tension with a life-or-death standoff mid-flight. Park plays Yoon Yi Rang, the leader of Team Confidence, disguised as a flight attendant. Jung plays Jeon Tae Soo, the outwardly respectable head of a charitable foundation who is secretly a legendary loan shark. The two face off over an airplane door flung wide open, ratcheting up the suspense.
Yi Rang, usually composed and confident, is seen rattled and visibly tense, while Tae Soo roars in fury, amplifying the sense of danger. The scene highlights the chemistry between Park and Jung, with both actors delivering pitch-perfect performances that capture the spectacle of an audacious con game.
The production team praised the duo, stating, “Park Min Young and Jung Woong In bring remarkable expressiveness that heightens the intensity of this limitless, imagination-defying con show.”
Confidence Queen will premiere September 6th at 9:10 PM KST on TV Chosun and Coupang Play simultaneously, and globally via Amazon Prime Video in 240 countries and territories (excluding Korea).
