Kim Jung Hyun is rounding out the star-studded cast of tvN’s upcoming drama Seiren. He will be joining previously announced leads Park Min Young and Wi Ha Jun in the new mystery romance series.
Industry sources say Kim Jung Hyun will play a mysterious, self-made wealthy man, a role in which he’s expected to have a commanding presence.
Based on the popular Japanese novel Kôri no Sekai (Ice World), the series follows a man who falls in love with a dangerous woman he is investigating, suspecting she may be a serial killer. The addition of Kim Jung Hyun to the already buzzy cast of Park Min Young and Wi Ha Jun has only heightened anticipation.
The original novel was adapted into a hit Japanese drama in 1999. Inspired by real-life insurance murder cases of the time, the story explores whether love and faith can endure in a world where money is valued more than human life.
With its powerhouse cast now secured, Seiren is scheduled to premiere in the first half of 2026.
